Silver Sculpture, Washington D.C.

Silver in not-quite sun, clouds thick
as the hum in my chest when I think
one day the phone just won't ring, and I
won't know how to begin again. Silver
reflects, distorts, shines you on and on
and if you can resist the way she begs
for your fingerprints, then maybe you
should seek the warmer gun of gold.
