Galapagos Marine Iguana
Adaptations take time. While I
zip up a rubber skin to keep out
the cold December sea, marine
iguanas eye me bemusedly, spitting
salt water onto each other, shedding
their faces in the Galapagos sun.
These are not pets to be named.
