Munich
I took refuge in the shadows of the Rathaus,
cold, hard rain beating on the sweet blue
umbrella he bought me at the street fair when I
coaxed him into leaving the apartment, on one of our
good days that last year. Some things we keep.
I will catch a cold in Crazy Ludwig's castle
that sticks with me through Amsterdam, but today
I shiver and smile, watching families fret and fight
waiting for the clock creatures to dance. The sun
and I have a date tomorrow.
