Sculpted

Out of gold, marble, stone, he
created life, expression, curves
and angles smoothing chips away
into men who would be poetry.
To have those hands on me,
reversing my form, slathering
a cooling clay to perfect
skin into sculpture, I would
gladly give breath to the words
and let him hold my tongue.
