I still want to jump, but now
I think I could fly, when before
I was frantic to feel the fall.
His breath sparked my wings,
each word, each pant, each
sultry syllable a sun's singe.
What burns black may grow back,
stronger, earned through ashes
but always wanting warmth.
Nothing melts under the moon,
but sights still shine
and he is mine.
