Villains and heroes wear capes,
in America a flash of amendments,
stars and stripes intend to blind
while square-headed men bite rights
away with teeth carved from tax cuts.
Slack-jawed Southern Stepfords
pat their manicures together,
reliving their cheerleading days
and knowing they can always afford
a weekend in Canada to untie a knot.
An oozing accent extends their hate,
sliding into pores to suffocate.
The husband takes his daily rape
and Jesus keeps our country safe.
